Minnesota's Medicare Quality Improvement Organization

Stratis Health is a non-profit organization that leads collaboration and innovation in health care quality and safety, and serves as a trusted expert in facilitating improvement for people and communities.  The organization, founded in 1971, has worked at improving the state’s health care quality for more than 35 years.

Under a federal contract, Stratis Health serves as Minnesota’s Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO).  The organization is also involved in other statewide projects funded through state government contracts, foundation and corporate grants, and health system projects.

Stratis Health staff possess strong applied research and clinical experience, expertise in continuous quality improvement theory and implementation, project management, epidemiology and data analysis, data management, medical record abstraction, case management, medical record review, coding, health education, and communications.
