Prescription Drug Therapy Quality Improvement Assistance Available to Medicare Providers

Published Friday, September 26, 2008

Stratis Health is offering Medicare providers (including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and home health agencies) and practitioners, Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Plans, and Prescription Drug Plans quality improvement assistance to decrease the rates of drug on drug interactions and potentially inappropriate medications prescribed in the elderly.

Stratis Health offers assistance with readily available information, tools, and guidance on quality improvement methods through our role as the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for Minnesota, under contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for a three-year period, which began August 1, 2008.

We share the commitment of Minnesota providers who deliver the best possible health care, and we want to do our part to help. Please let us know how we can be of help to you in your work to decrease the rates of drug on drug interactions and potentially inappropriate medications prescribed in the elderly.
