Published Friday, October 21, 2016

Lisa Gall, DNP, FNP, LHIT-HP, clinical program manager at Stratis Health, was selected to serve on a national Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) technical expert panel (TEP) for the Quality Measure Development Plan.

The TEP will inform the update of the CMS Quality Measure Development Plan: Supporting the Transition to the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and Alternative Payment Models (APMs). The plan serves as a strategic framework for clinician quality measure development to support MIPS and advanced APMs in the Quality Payment Program (QPP). The MDP accelerates the alignment of quality measurement and program policies with annual review and updates of the measures.

The TEP will provide recommendations regarding the annual progress report and assist in developing criteria to evaluate CMS progress on measure development for the QPP.

Gall brings to the TEP over 30 years of experience in nursing, administrative, provider, and health IT roles. At Stratis Health, she currently supports health care organizations and clinicians as they operationalize the Quality Payment Program and other emerging health care changes, through the Medicare Quality Innovation Network - Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO). Stratis Health leads the Lake Superior Quality Innovation Network, the QIN-QIO which serves Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Previously, she was a clinical IT consultant through Stratis Health's REACH program, the HIT regional extension center for Minnesota and North Dakota.
